The Saddle Brook Mayor's Youth Group is going to do a planting and clean up at Tricentennial Park this Saturday, April 20th at 10:00am. We will clean up any trash and plant flowers around the flagpole.
As of now, there should be no rain on Saturday. However, if necessary, we will notify everyone if we need to reschedule. New members are welcome to join us in the clean up! Tricentennial Park is located at the corner of Saddle River Road and Platt Avenue. Gloves and other tools will be provided.

SADDLE BROOK, NJ - The annual Saddle Brook Township Fishing Derby will be held this Saturday, June 17th from 9am to 12pm at the Saddle River County Park (Otto C. Pehle area).
Volunteers from the Saddle Brook Mayor's Youth Group will be needed to assist with the event (i.e. measuring the fish that will be caught). We hope you will be able to join us for the fishing derby. Mayor's Youth Group Planting Flowers at Tricentennial Park - April 23, 2022 SADDLE BROOK, NJ - Earth Day is an annual celebration to recognize the achievements toward making our planet a cleaner place to live. It is also a day to raise awareness and protect our natural resources.
Every year, the Saddle Brook Mayor's Youth Group comes together to do a clean up and planting. On Saturday, April 22nd, at 10am, the Mayor's Youth Group will meet at Tricentennial Park at the corner of Saddle River Rd. and Platt Ave. We will be planting flowers around the flagpole and cleaning up any garbage that is in the park. This should take no longer than one hour to complete. All equipment will be provided. SADDLE BROOK - St. Patrick's Day is right around the corner! The Saddle Brook Mayor's Youth Group will be taking part in a Shamrock activity this year.
We are inviting Youth Group members to create a Shamrock message of their choosing and deliver them to Town Hall (93 Market Street) no later than Wednesday, March 15th. Your good-luck positive messages will be delivered to the senior citizens in town. We hope you all have fun making your Shamrocks! We hope you are having a wonderful weekend. It has been a while since we have had a meeting. Due to busy schedules and multiple events, we will not be able to meet this month. Easter Celebration - Saturday, April 16th from 1-3pm in SBHS Gym Volunteers are needed to assist at game stations. Any member wishing to volunteer should arrive at the gym no later than 12:30pm. Please respond to this email if you plan on attending, so we can get a headcount of helpers. Earth Day Planting and Cleanup at Tricentennial Park - Saturday, April 23rd (time TBD) At Tricentennial Park, we will plant a tree, some flowers, and do a cleanup in and around the park area like we did last year. Senior Halloween Party - Tuesday, October 26th from 6-9pm The Mayor's Youth Group will be helping serve beverages to the seniors at the Senior Halloween Party. This party will be held at the VFW (44 Market Street). Everyone is welcome to attend and help out. Feel free to wear your costume! Trunk or Treat - Saturday, October 30th from 12-2pm (rain date October 31st) Trunk or Treat is returning this year after being cancelled last year. Trunk or Treat will be held in the parking lot of our new municipal complex (55 Mayhill Street - former Home Depot parking lot). All volunteers are asked to arrive by 11:30am, if possible. If anyone is interested in signing up to decorate their own car and hand out candy, please sign up using this link: https://volunteersignup.org/8KCEM. Halloween Decorating Contest The Township Halloween Decorating Contest is now underway. If anyone is interested in entering the contest, please email your name, house address, and telephone number to [email protected]. The deadline to enter the contest is Wednesday, October 27th. The results will be announced on the youth group Facebook page on Saturday, October 30th. Like last year, we will not be traveling on the bus to judge houses. All youth group members will be asked to judge the houses between Wednesday, October 27th and Saturday, October 30th. All members will be given a list of addresses on the 27th. Hello everyone, we hope everyone is enjoying what is left of this summer season. Please read the latest news about the Mayor's Youth Group: Fun Outing For our fun outing, we will be going to Humdingers on Wednesday, August 25th from 6-8pm. There will be pizza, bowling, snacks, and other games included in this outing. Please RSVP by Wednesday, August 18th. If there are issues with transportation, and other arrangements for carpooling cannot be made, please call Christine Genuario, Mayor White's secretary, at 201-587-2903. Mayor's Walk and Township Picnic We invite all youth group members to attend the Mayor's Walk on Saturday, August 28th at 9am at the park. We will walk around the pond. Free t-shirts will be given out to all participants. Also, on Saturday, August 28th, the Township Picnic will be held from 12-4pm at the park. Volunteers are needed to assist the seniors in attendance. All members who will be assisting should arrive by 12pm. Please see Christine Genuario upon arrival. Food tickets for the food trucks are available at Town Hall, the library, or the senior center. The rain date for the mayor's walk and township picnic is Sunday, August 29th. Going Forward We will not meet this month. We will be in touch with everyone soon regarding our next meeting in September.

Mayor's Fishing Derby To begin, we invite all members to come to the annual Mayor's Fishing Derby to participate or hang out. The derby will be held this Saturday, June 19th from 9am to 12pm at the Otto Pehle Lake at the Saddle River County Park. If any member is interested in taking part in the derby, please email Christine Genuario at [email protected] NO LATER than tomorrow (June 16th). The derby is open to all Saddle Brook boys and girls. Anyone who is participating must bring their own equipment. Next Youth Group Meeting Within the next week, we will be announcing our next youth group meeting date. Please check your emails and social media for the meeting date next week. At this meeting, we will be discussing our participation in the annual National Night Out and Saddle Brook Township Picnic in August. That should cover everything for now.
